The C126 (and W126 chassis) has aged like a fine wine thanks to Sacco-era styling that is, unmistakably, classic Mercedes. As with each generation of S-class, this top-of-the-line offering from Mercedes is adequately over engineered but - unlike cars from the modern era - not overloaded with electronics; making this generation of Mercedes easy to keep on the road for decades. Throughout the 80’s and early 90’s, the coupe was the ultimate Grand Tourer with plenty of power on tap and that instantly recognizable pillarless window design. To add to the already legendary status of the C126, finding a low mileage, seemingly concours example with this kind of documentation and history is rare. Surely this car will be at home no matter how the buyer intends to use or preserve this ultimate time capsule.
